Wow.  It’s hard to believe that 2017 has already come and gone.  We closed out our year at Moonshadow Tavern (Read about it here) and let me just say that 2017 was a great year for Collins Drive.  We released our debut full-length album (Pick it up HERE), we got the opportunity to open for Rusted Root singer Mike Glabicki, and we were personally invited by Drivin’ N’ Cryin’s Kevn Kinney to perform as part of the Kevn Kinney Rocket Shop Talent Show.  Wow.  Talk about a huge honor it was for us to support both artists.  We had some amazing shows at our home venues Red Light Cafe and Moonshadow Tavern and we made some great friends in The Brookses and Emily Backus to share shows with.  That was a really cool thing because we had such a hard time finding some like minded musicians who wanted to share shows with us and really try and create a great evening of music.

2017 really was a great year of growth for us.  We grew as a band and as individual musicians.  We experimented with some changes in our sound and we wrote new songs.  It was such a great year and I can already see 2018 starting to shape up for Collins Drive.  So what does 2018 have in store for Collins Drive?  Well, we will be releasing a new EP sometime in the Spring, we already have some gigs trickling in and we are even going to attempt to get out of Atlanta and play some shows in some new places.  Maybe we’ll have some merch made and there will definitely be some new Collins Drive guitar picks.  We have about 7 brand new songs that we have yet to even start working on so by Summer you can expect to hear a handful of brand new Collins Drive songs.

We are so ready for 2018 and we are beyond excited to be going into our fifth year as a band and we can’t wait to see just what is in store for us!  Thank you to each and everyone of you who came out to all the shows in 2017, bought CDs, and showed your support.  We hope to see your beautiful selves all once again, and again, and again in 2018!

Love you all!
